Our aim is to provide researchers with services that are suitable for day-to-day use along the entire data life cycle. Together with our members, we maintain a portfolio of core services for managing and sharing data and expertise.

Our services support researchers from the planning of a project, through the annotation and submission of data, to searching, visualisation and analysis. Data stewards and staff at the GFBio Data Centers offer individual advice via our helpdesk and help with archiving and publishing data. Our services are available to all scientists working with biological, ecological and biodiversity data.

• Knowlege transfer and user support: We operate integrated platforms for Helpdesk, information exchange and project management.
• Standardised data and metadata flows: We offer tried-and-tested tools and workflows for providing, exchanging and publishing data according to community standards.
• Data transformations: We enable seamless transformations of data between selected community standards to ensure data interoperability.
• User authentication: Our Single-Sign-On System allows the registration of users via various channels, including institutional login and ORCID.
